It took me around 4 - 5 hours to build it. It looks very cool when it is all done.The net launcer does not launch the net as far as it is supposed to. The rock monster does not throw the rocks as far as I saw on a different review. The crane tilt does not work good. The drill sometimes stalls. Only get it if you really, really want it as it is pretty expensive. The instructions are in TWO books and it took several days to put it together. My husband had to help my son finish it. My son made some mistakes putting it together and my husband had to correct those. The instructions are some times difficult to follow. Some of the pieces fell on the floor as it was being assembled and some of them got stepped on and bent, but they didn't break. You will need lots of patience with tiny lego pieces to get this put together. It's expensive, too. My son saved up the $100 to buy this over several months. I think it's very over priced, but I have to admit, my son loves it and plays with it a lot.
