In my experience, choosing a great gift for someone special is hard.And it's even truer when that special someone is our beloved kid.Unlike most people think that they know the secrets, I believe there are many people who make the wrong decisions.And that could result in a not so good ending this Christmas.So, what are those critical mistakes? And how to fix them? Let's me share with you my list.Mistake #1. Picking the wrong gift that doesn't fit the child's gender.Is your kid a cute boy or a pretty girl? You know boys like robots and trucks, right? And you know that baby girls love Barbie as well?Yet I see there are people who buy their young girl a Transformer robot! Of course, there are a few exceptions.But unless you're very sure that your kid loves that kind of toys, don't do that!Always choose the right kind of gift for your child's gender.Even if s/he doesn't like it, at least it fits the role.Mistake #2. Choosing the wrong gifts for the child's age.Another minor mistake that leads to big disappointment.Talking about toys, we can see that they always have something like a seal that tells us the suitable ages of children.If your child is too young, never buy him something that can hurt him while playing.And if you have older kids, you might consider buying them toys that help grow their creativity.Mistake #3. Neglect educational gifts.It's true that shiny and colorful things attract children.And it's also true that educational toys once lack this criterion.But there is a big plus point about this kind of gift.And you know what? It could fit perfectly with almost every child.Educational toys can't go wrong here!And the fact that says they're improving their outfits could be a great news.Because you can buy it knowing that your child will be attracted to it and learn many things.Mistake #4. Buying violent or harmful toys for your kids.Yes, I'm talking about toys like guns or swords.Your little man could like them, as they rise up his curiosity.But even when he demands you to buy it, you shouldn't! Because those types of gifts will do nothing but increasing the bad natures inside a kid.They are too young to understand that.And your job is to prevent that thing.There are many other great choices.Why don't you choose him one?Mistake #5. Ignore the kid's burning passion.Fact is, your child could be a very potential engineer in the future.Why? Because he loves Lego's toys and other robot or train sets.And you know that you can help him grow that passion even more.Why don't you do that? Don't make the mistake that you know what he likes.And you know you can afford it.But you think other things will help him more and you abandon his idea.That's a big no-no!
