Lego has now introduced a new breed of board games which you can create, play and change as much as you like. Each of the games comes with Lego Dice, which you build and is suitable for all age ranges and for both family and friends.Use the Lego Dice to choose one of the fun building categories.Either vehicles, buildings, nature or just things. With three levels of difficulty that lets the whole family join in the fun, you can show off your building skills, while the others guess what you are creating in is what is essentially a Lego based version of Pictionary. This is a great game for all the family to test your and stretch your imagination as well as your guessing skills.Creationary is a game for 3-8 players. The box contains..A unique Lego Dice. With each side representing a category such as Nature, Vehicles, Buildings or things. The additional 2 sides have a "you choose" as well as a "double", which is essentially a you choose category with double points.A set of 96 cards. These are the cards that decide what you build. They are categorized into the above groups and you pick one from the top of the pile to get a model to build. They are divided into easy, medium and hard difficulties. What category of card you take is decided by the roll of the dice.A building Tray. This allows you to arrange the various Lego blocks by colour so you can easier find your building pieces during the game.338 Pieces of Lego. These are used to build the various models through out the game. How to Play..The instruction manual details several different ways in which you can play the game.Essentially, all the different ways come down to each player being assigned a card, usually by rolling the dice and building the model that is pictured on the card. The other players then guess what it is they are trying to build and there are various scoring methods to which you can adhere. The game is specified for ages 7 and up but a capable 5 year old, with the correct experience with Lego would be able to pick up and play this game with no real problem. It can be challenging though, even for a fully grown adult. My Thoughts..I think this is a very innovative product from Lego and adds another level of fun to a games night for the family.Everybody loves Lego, being it young boys who are the traditional audience, to older boys in their 20s.Even girls are starting to enjoy Lego with the release of several boxes of pink Lego. This game is fun for all the family.A game typically lasts 30-60 minutes and there will be guaranteed laughs throughout.Another great idea was to include several sets of rules for the games, allowing families to choose the rules best suited to their family composition. My family made up their own rules, loosely based on the one Lego Suggested.Overall and excellent product, at a competitive price, that will bring enjoyment to any family.

Some Of The Most Popular Card Games For Kids
It may surprise you to hear that kids can be entertained by products other than high-tech, high-dollar video game systems, DVDs, and television. They don't have to spend their game-playing time blasting aliens, swinging digital golf clubs, and blowing up buildings.Amazing as it may sound, kids really do enjoy traditional games like board games and card games.Card games are a great way for you to spend more time with your children and get them away from the television. In addition to being fun, card games can be educational. One such fun, educational card game for children is CardWord. The CardWord deck consists of cards with letters on them instead of numbers. The object of the game is to spell words. It's challenging and educational.Another fun, thought-provoking card game for kids which you've probably played yourself is Concentration. This can be played with a conventional deck or you can purchase specially made decks which feature fun pictures, words, numbers, etc.The cards are laid out face-down and the object is to find the matching cards. This game, of course, develops concentration, and almost every kid loves it.Some other old favorites are Old Maid or Go Fish.Probably the most loved of all card games for kids is War.Kids of all ages can learn the simple rules to this game which can keep them occupied for as long as any video game. One of the more acclaimed card games for kids is Apples to Apples Jr.This game consists of cards that on one side have red or green apples on them, and on the other side they have a word with its definition. The object of the game is to match the word on one card that best fits with the word on another. For example, if the word "beach" is laid down, then the winning card will likely be "sun" or "ocean".The winner is determined by a player acting as judge. This allows for a lot of leeway.Uno is a game almost everybody has played.Uno is great because it can be tailored to suit children of all ages.If your child is very young and not able to comprehend complex rules, you can ignore the cards which involve skipping turns, drawing extra cards, and you can ignore the wild cards. With older children, you can utilize the entire deck and you're likely to find yourself in quite the Uno battle with your progeny.Be assured that even if you're playing your best, you'll lose to your kids sometimes, and they'll love it!Card games provide a wealth of educational and entertainment possibilities for children.Even at their most formative stages, children can learn about words and numbers from card games.Card games will improve their concentration and enhance their logical reasoning abilities.

Great Lego Fun
I sure hope you know what Lego stands for? Lego is nothing but fun fun fun! Alright seriously, Lego is the ultimate toy which consists of just bricks but because of the variety of bricks available, you can combine them to form an infinite number of structures or objects. Then of course the bricks can also be fixed to each other and then detached from each other easily.Recently, Lego has even branched out into the board game arena. They have come up with the Lego game sets and perhaps I would mention just two of these Lego games here, including the newest Lego Hogwarts game as well as Lego creationary.I guess it is pretty simple to guess what Lego Creationary actually is.It is the Lego equivalent of the Pictionary. In the Pictionary game, you are pick a card and then choose which word you want to draw out to allow your team to guess the word.No other form of communication is allowed other than drawing. In Lego Creationary, instead of drawing, you have to put on your Lego builder's cap and start building whatever you are word the audience is supposed to guess.I guess it can be easier to play Lego Creationary because instead of drawing something two dimensional, you can now build something in three dimensional.Well of course people who are not skilled at constructing objects using Lego would lose out during the game! The Harry Potter game is slightly different though. If you read Harry potter books, you would know that there are four school houses in Harry Potter. The objective of the Harry Potter game is to collect an item from each of the four houses while dodging obstacles and changing room plans happen. If you are a harry potter friend, you should buy the Harry Potter game but if you ask me I would recommend you to buy lego creationary game instead.

Lego Creationary Board Game for Christmas 2010
Lego Creationary, the new board game from Lego, will get your kids imaginations flying. The rules of this game are very simple. Each game comes with a Lego Dice which determines what each player needs to build. The dice identifies different categories for which each player will need to build a specific item for. These categories include vehicles, buildings, and nature amongst others.Once you know which category you need to build an item for, there are category-specific cards which will indicate what item you need to build.Other players will know what category you have, but will not know what you are supposed to build.Their goal will be to guess what item you are building. The recommended game ages for the game are 7 and up, however it's likely that all members of the family will enjoy playing. The game comes with 338 Lego pieces allowing for 3-8 players to play against each other. You can expect each game to last between 30 and 60 minutes. If you ever feel that Lego Creationary is becoming too easy, you can easily change the rules and restrict how many/what type of pieces each person is allowed to use to build their item. This keeps the game challenging and refreshing to play every time.In an age where computer games are dominating the market, it's great to see a new board game with a hands-on approach that encourages creativity. This is a great board game that will help stimulate your child's imagination, and get their creative juices flowing. While kids will undoubtedly love the game, all other members of the family are bound to find lots of joy while playing along. If you want a great game for your family this Christmas, look no further than Lego Creationary.

3 Toys Christmas Will Be Incomplete Without

What's a Christmas without new toys? Yep, you're right. So here are 3 toys Christmas trees must have under them this year.I've chosen them for different age groups and different temperaments.Because your child may have friends around to compete with or may be a loner. He or she may like words or may be an artist.Any which way, you'll find a toy here.Guess you will agree.LEGO Creationary Game. This is a game for 3 to 8 players which is built from 341 Lego pieces including 1 buildable LEGO Dice, 1 LEGO minifigure and 1 LEGO microfigure. It contains 96 cards and a rule booklet. The idea is to select one of four exciting building categories. vehicles, buildings, nature or things. And then build a figure in that category while other members guess what it is.The game is similar to Pictionary but instead of drawing, you use Legos. It definitely encourages imagination and creativity. With three levels of difficulty it helps your kids (and you) show off their building skills to friends and family! Highly recommended!Beyblade Metal Fusion Super Vortex Battle Set.This set is an engaging, twenty-first century version of the classic game Battling Tops.Modern details and rules, along with customizable designs and a concave playing field, have kids aged 8 and up and riveted in no time.Of course I have seen 4 year olds engrossed with these fancy tops as well. But strictly speaking Beyblade needs its players to pick between dynamic attacks and evasive maneuvers. It is a lot of fun at parties with a bunch of kids who each have their own set and come to play a tournament. The set includes 'playoff' style cards so you can determine who wins in a runoff.Fun stuff.I know I would have loved these when I was a kid.Melissa and Doug Deluxe Standing Easel. While this may not exactly fit under the tree it will surely delight your little one in the morning.Especially if they like to draw. Here they can create art with paint, chalk, pens, crayons, markers, and more, all at one convenient station. And when art time is over, you will appreciate the easel's easy-to-clean design.Kids aged 3 and up can use this set as both the writing boards and the trays are adjustable for the height of your child. It folds up easy, but stands strong. And puts them into hours of creative activity which is both educational and enjoyable. For them and for you! So get on an inspire your little artist! These are the toys Christmas is all about!
