Can the Knights get past all the tricks and traps of Vladek's Dark Fortress?
Editorial Review
The Knights of Morcia are locked in pitched battle with the evil Vladek and his nefarious marauding forces who are trying to control the kingdom. But in this sprawling, expansive 967-piece set from Lego, the Knights are taking the battle right to Vladek’s house, seeking to defeat him right there at his enormous fortress. The set includes a multitude of swords, shields, battle axes, and other weapons for Sir Rascus, Sir Jayko, Sir Danju, and Sir Santis to use as they take on Vladek and his crew, all of whom are represented by tiny Lego guys who, as always, look more cute than fierce. The fortress is equipped with spring-loaded missiles, a catapult, and even a vat of fake boiling oil. Plus, there’s a scary dungeon with skeletons and pretend spider webs. --Charlie Williams

18 of 19 people found the following review helpful This is an Awesome set., A Kid's Review = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: LEGO Knights Kingdom Vladeks Dark Fortress (Toy) This knight set is AWESOME. It takes forever to build though. But, I like to build it. It's the funnest part. It's a little overpriced. This set is very big and can fold to do all kinds of stuff. It comes with 7 guys and 4 catupults and ballista's that shoot stuff. It has a working drawbridge and 3 different types of building with traps and Lord Vladek's Shadow Knights. This set is highly reccommended. If you really like it, You should get the Citadel Of Orlan and the expansions. 10 of 12 people found the following review helpful Knight's Kingdom Vladek's Dark Fortress Review, A Kid's Review = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: LEGO Knights Kingdom Vladeks Dark Fortress (Toy) This is a good to and i think it is very fun it has a drawbridge, 2 fire catipults, scary suprises, a blunt launcher, a horse mounted and a horse pulled catapult, the "vald-mask" and shadow knights armor are metallic-colored. i say it's is a fun toy for a lego lover or a knight lover. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful An Excellent Design From Lego!!!, By Dan (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews This review is from: LEGO Knights Kingdom Vladeks Dark Fortress (Toy) I love the Vladek's Dark Fortress lego set. I like the colors lego used, I love the architecture of the building while allows you to display it many different ways, the mini figuries that it comes with are of a newer design and of a better look then the older ones.By far this is one of my favorite lego sets of all time. I am reviewing this item as sort of a collector instead of a child who might play with it. I obviously have not "played" with it but it seems to me that it would be fun. From the drawbridge that you can dump a barrel of hot embers on attacking knights, to the newly designed catapults which make launching the flaming debris at attacking forces fun and easy. This set can be divided into 3 sections ; the gate and drawbride, the east wing which features a catapult and two secret entrences in which attackers can enter the fortress, and the west wing which features yet another catapult. As I have mentioned before, in my opinion this is one... Read more |
