I just don't understand how this site says the regular price is $150 but you can get it for a super sale ranging from $40-$60. Go to the Lego website and it's regular price is actually $60 and they have it on sale for $30. Way to mark it up to make the deal look good but still botch it. Always check the lego site before "Scoring a deal." 18 of 22 people found the following review helpful Check other prices, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: LEGO City Limited Edition Set #7747 Wind Turbine Transport (Toy) As of today, Amazon is listing this toy on sale, and saying that the original price is $150 - however the actual original price on Lego.com is only $60. Don't get sucked into this "sale". 18 of 22 people found the following review helpful Good Because It's Different (and the Truck is Sweet), By Limorkil (CT USA) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LEGO City Limited Edition Set #7747 Wind Turbine Transport (Toy) My daughter is only 18 months old and I was dissapointed that it only took her 0.2 seconds to complete this supposedly complex 450-odd piece Lego set.Joking. I seem to have the only kid who is not some super-powered Lego freak. She's seven and she loves Lego. She also loves wind turbines ever since she saw 8 of them on the shore of Lake Erie. So this was an ideal gift. The wind turbine really adds to the Lego city, but to be honest the truck is the best feature. I was personally disappointed to discover that the wind turbine lacks a motor to enable it to turn without manual intervention. Admittedly, a battery powered wind turbine somewhat defeats the purpose of alternative energy - but the darn thing won't spin round in the wind either. Great Lego set. Reasonable value for Lego (i.e. just a rip-off rather than OMG total rip-off). I have "find motor for wind turbine" on my (scarily long) to-do list. |
