He is 10 years old and fairly advanced in scientific an engineering subjects. He absolutely loved this kit. It took him about 2-3 hrs. to put together and then he couln't stop playing with it. It is overall an interesting set, and I like the color scheme.The instructions tell you that you build the front of the truck, then the back, then you build the cab and lastly the container. When building, I had trouble with the dark parts, and while attaching the linear actuactor, you need to twist it to make it rise a little to build it right. I made this mistake while building it. Once you finished building the set, it looks pretty well. The functions includes front steering, raising and lowering the container and loading and unloading the container, which are both activated by moving a lever (left for the raising, and right for unloading). It does come with and m-motor and a battery box. The two container functions work because by pushing the switch, it controls a certain part of the truck to raise the container, and can block the second part of the truck to unload it.
