My 5yr-old has especially been smitten by the "Indiana" bug. So last week I bought this truck for a Christmas present.It arrived yesterday, so I took it out to give it a once-over. I was disappointed to find that some of the claims in the product description are false. 1. Did not have a "Break-through window" 2. Did not have a "Break-away door" 3. Does not come with a "Removable ark" The directions only confirm the wind-up whip attached to the rear of the truck and the break-away grille. I see the hand grips are visible in the canopy and a figure should be able to ride on the sides of the vehicle with a little maneuvering. Looks like a lot of fun and somewhat durable. We'll see... Amazing Movie Truck!, By = Durability:  = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark Cargo Truck (Toy) Watching Raiders of the Lost Ark several times, I've always liked the truck scene where Indiana Jones goes after the Mercedes-Benz Diesel truck being used to transport the ark. Kenner used to have an IJ Mercedes-Benz cargo truck but it wasn't as realistic as this one. This Hasbro ROTLA Cargo Truck is quite realistic, large enough to fit several figures and above all is a lot of fun. For the price of about two and a half times that of an ROTLA figure, you can buy this truck, so it's not exorbitantly priced. If it could be improved it would be nice to have a diesel engine sound built in. |
