The Lego brand is a trusted toy manufacturer.The company produces a vast collection of toys and video games.The Lego Star Wars Battle of Endor 8038 model is a replica of the battle scene from Return of the Jedi where the Empire battles the rebel warriors and the furry little Ewoks.If your child is a fan, this toy is sure to please.My son owns many of the Lego Star Wars game sets and that he has happily constructed with the help of my husband.He has played with these toys over and over again by himself and with his friends.They're a great distraction from watching too much TV or playing too many video games.He can use his imagination and role play the various movie scenes.The Lego Star Wars Battle of Endor 8038 model contains over 800 pieces so it's not recommended for small children due to the potential choking hazard it presents.Many of the pieces are figurines including Hans Solo, Princess Leia, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Ewoks and Storm Troopers.The bunker includes sliding double doors, just like in the movie.Also included in the set is a Scout Walker, catapult and speeder bikes.The bunker itself is less than 10" x 10" so that it should fit nicely on any shelf once it's fully constructed.The thing is that you do need to be careful with this set and others like it when you're transporting is around.It can start to come apart and that's one of my big beefs with these Lego toys.Although it's a great toy that is a stimulating challenge for a young mind, I groan when I hear the tell tale sound of a Lego piece traveling up the tube when I'm vacuuming my son's bedroom.The good thing is that the pieces themselves are durable so that if it does come apart, your child can put it together again.The Lego Star Wars Battle of Endor 8038 toy is recommended for kids aged 9 to 14 but my son began playing with these toys at a much younger age.I think he received his first game set when he was about 6 years old for Christmas and he certainly got a lot of play time out of it and other sets we've purchased since then.This kit makes a terrific holiday or birthday gift for any fan of the movies.
