When I received it, I didn't know this and it looked like the whole cover was scratched -- to the point I even contacted the seller to say that their "new" product didn't look new at all. But as I was looking it over and considering how I might be able to "fill in" the scratches, right around the seam of where the hard shell meets the pink zipper line, I saw a little bit of thin plastic film sticking up. I started to remove a little of it, and was even worried that I was taking off a layer of paint or "shine" or something, but lo and behold, underneath the film the shell looked beautiful. It was even shinier, and all the "scratches" pulled off with the film. It's actually a nice sized case - I'm sure it will fit everything she needs for up to a week's trip. It seems sturdy and high quality. It's light enough that I know she will be able to easily maneuver it through the airport, even when it's packed full of clothes. It has big inline-type wheels, so it rolls really well without flipping around or the wheels getting locked up. I also like that the handle locks at 2 different heights.Ours came with a sticker instructing to remove the protective film; once the film is removed it does look really sharp - shiny black, just like the picture. My daughter likes it because it looks "grown up" - and it does look more mature than the really juvenille-looking rolling bags we looked at - so I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to use it for several years as she matures. My only problem now? She wants to start packing tonight and we don't leave for 2 months! |
