3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Good pieces but set doesn't make sense, = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Thomas & Friends Rheneas and the Dinosaur Story Pack Wooden Railway (Toy) I bought this set for my sons who are fans of both Thomas and dinosaurs. The individual pieces are great, but I don't know who thought to put these pieces together as a set. There is a crane, but nothing for the crane to lift. When I purchased it, I thought perhaps the dinosaur bones in the cargo car were magnetized, but they don't lift out.The included track pieces also make little sense. The rising track piece has nowhere to go on this set (there's a little tunnel, but no tracks above for an overpass, too). The m/m piece is always a welcome addition to our track collection, but puzzling in this context because the tunnel is m/f, so no adaptation is required. On the other hand, Rheneas is a fairly rare train, and I've never seen a Mr. Percival (the narrow gauge controller) anywhere else. My two-year-old enjoys the "little door" that swings in the tunnel to let the trains through. Both boys really like the dinosaur fossil car, and the crane is a nice size - big... Read more |
