Thomas Train Songs - Hit Songs For Kids
The Thomas Train songs from the 1994 to 2003 Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends TV series were not released on TV but instead were released on audio cassettes or on videos and DVDs as music videos. Those were written by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell. Many of which were based on the individual characters' theme tunes which they had composed and were used as incidental music. In the UK, the first 9 songs were released on an audio cassette in 1993 which was produced by EMI.They were from the "Thomas and the Best Kept Station Competition".The songs were each played as an intermission during parts of the story."That's What Friends Are For" and "Rules & Regulations" were two of the songs featured on the cassette tape but were never given music videos, unlike every other song created for the series. The song for season 3 was "Thomas We Love You" (Thomas' Anthem - American Title). Some of which from season 4 were "Let's Have a Race," "Gone Fishing," "Toby," "The Island Song," "Don't Judge as Book by its Cover," and "Really Useful Engine" among the 9 songs.Season 5 had 10 songs like "Night Train," 'Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining (Never Lose Hope)," and "It's Great To Be An Engine." Season 6 had 6 songs, season 7 had 6, season 8 had 8, season 9 had 9, season 10 had 7, season 11 had 7 songs, season 12 had "Engine Roll Call (Alternate High-Def Version), and season 13 had "Roll Along." In Calling All Engines, there were 5 songs."Racing to the Wharf," "Jobs a Plenty," and "Where, Oh Where is Thomas?" are among 5 songs in The Great Discovery."Go Go Thomas" is from Hero of the Rails. The songs from seasons 3 to 6 were eventually released in audio form on the CDs "Thomas' Songs and Roundhouse Rhythms" and "Thomas' Train yard Tracks" in the UK, on the 9th of June 2008.The same Thomas Train songs CDs were previously released in the US, some years before the UK.
